Scripture:
“I am the good shepherd. As the Father knows me and I know the Father, in the same way I know my sheep and they know me. And I am willing to die for them.”
— John 10:14-15
Reflection:
In this passage, Jesus reveals Himself as the Good Shepherd, embodying love, care, and protection. A shepherd is not just a guide but a devoted protector who knows the sheep intimately. Just as the shepherd recognizes their voice, Christ knows each of us deeply and is ever ready to rescue us from life’s challenges.
As we navigate our daily lives, let us remember that we are never alone. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive within us, providing strength and guidance. When we abide under His care, we find safety and assurance in every aspect of our lives—our workplaces, businesses, schools, marriages, and families.
As we begin our day and week, let’s focus on the Good Shepherd leading us, protecting us, and caring for us. We can trust that He will guide our steps and deliver us from the snares of the enemy.
Prayer:
Father God, thank You for revealing Yourself to us as the Good Shepherd who always leads us back home. We pray that our steps are guided by You, as the psalmist sings. Deliver us from the nets of the enemy and fill our hearts with peace as we follow Your lead. In Jesus Christ’s mighty name, we pray. Amen.
